Opportunities to work with kids and schools through the LINKS program
We currently have the following volunteer opportunities in the Lake Washington School District. Click below to select a specific area in which you would like to volunteer:

Elementary School Needs
Alcott Elementary One on one tutoring
Lunch buddies (12-1:30 p.m.)
Homework buddy (3-3:30 p.m.)
Ms. Hagar and Ms. Beam 4/5 split - once a week, Thursday or Friday, 1:45-3 p.m., work one on one with students in writing workshops
Ms. Hagar and Ms. Beam 4/5 split - Monday or Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m., assist teacher with a group math workshop
Audubon Elementary Ms. Mickus - Tuesday 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. or Thursday 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. - 30-60 minutes once a week, work with student one-on-one using the Reading Naturally Program
Bell Elementary English Language Learners Assistance
Monday-Thursday, 10-10:35 a.m.
Einstein Elementary Lunch Buddies
One on one academic help
Juanita Elementary Lunch Buddies - Monday through Friday 12:10 p.m.-12:40 p.m. and 12:40 p.m.-1:05 p.m.
Lakeview Elementary Lunch recess activities
Mann Elementary Lunch Buddies
Mead Elementary Lunch Buddies - Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m.–12:25 p.m., 12:00 p.m.–12:50 p.m., 12:15 p.m.–1:10 p.m.
Muir Elementary Lunch Buddies
Redmond Elementary Ms. Matheson: Monday-Friday, and day and time during the school day, shelve books in the school library
Rose Hill Elementary Afternoon Scholars Club
3-4:15 p.m. (M, T, Th)
Rosa Parks Elementary One on one academic help


Junior High School Needs
Finn Hill Junior High Science Tutors: Mondays, 2:45-4 p.m.
Math Tutors: Tuesdays, 2:45-4 p.m.
Language Arts: Thursdays, 2:45-4 p.m.
Social Studies: Thursdays, 2:45-4 p.m.
Electives: Fridays, 2:45-4 p.m.
Inglewood Junior High Special Services Mentor – Assist one student in Art Class
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1:15 p.m.- 2:10 p.m.
Wednesday 7:50 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
Kamiakin Junior High Math Tutors:
7:30 a.m.-8 a.m. every day
2:45-4 p.m. every day but Wed.


High School Needs
Juanita High School Plant Science Class (Amy Mowery): 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
Assist students with the science of gardening

Science Class: 7:50 a.m.–9 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Assist teacher in low level science class in need of a positive adult role model to work one-on-one with students
Redmond High School Spanish speaking tutors for:
Pre-Algebra 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Geometry 10:30-11:30 a.m.
