Procedures for Implementation of Administrator Performance Evaluation
- General Evaluation of Performance
The evaluation of administrator performance shall be based on a two-part format consisting of evaluative criteria and performance objectives. A written evaluation shall take place annually and shall include a mid-year conference and review.
The procedures outlined below describe the framework within which the administrator performance evaluation program shall be administered.
- Evaluative Criteria Appraisal
The administrator evaluative criteria specify recognized elements of an effective administrator. Evaluation shall be on the following criteria as they relate to the administrator's job description:
- curriculum and instruction
- leadership
- judgment
- physical and financial resources
- cooperation
- communication
- appraisal of subordinates
- objective achievement
- organization and planning
Performance shall be evaluated in terms of established criteria. Supportive documentation shall be provided by the administrator's immediate supervisor and the administrator. The evaluation statement shall be written by the immediate supervisor.
