The expenses of the superintendent and other school representatives shall be paid within the limits of major appropriations approved by the Board of Directors and in accordance with policies of the board to attend any conferences or meetings or to attend to any urgent business at the request of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction or the Board of Directors or the chief executive officer of the Board of Directors.

The superintendent is authorized to establish rules and regulations governing procedure for approval of all requests for the reimbursement of expenses.
